Loch Ness Darkness
(Submission for Trijam 123, with the theme "Hide and Don't Be Caught".)
As the Loch Ness monster, you value your privacy. Unfortunately, the pesky paparazzi do not. And they are extremely determined to catch you on film. They have placed laser scanners around the loch to detect you as you hunt for your starfish dinner.
INSTRUCTIONS
Use [ arrow keys ] to traverse the loch. Grab all yummy starfishes. Simple!
Oh yeah... don't let the lasers see you, or they will set off the cameras.
TIPS
- Use headphones to hear the stereo effects and original music!
- You CAN move diagonally.
- Yes level 8 is possible. Don't give up!!

This is the fifth Trijam (three-hour game jam) submission by Team Twosticks!

C. Haine (12) is head of Engineering. He did all the coding using Scratch 3 and designed all the levels. "Computing all the laser ray collisions was a strain for Scratch!"
K. Haine (12) leads the Visual Design department. She designed all the 3D models and scenes from scratch in Blender. "I learned how to make things glow!"
P. Haine (>12) runs the Audio department. The music is original and was composed in Logic Pro X. He also edited sound effects using Audacity. "To prepare for composing the music we analyzed Scottish music on Spotify!"
